A trio of new starters

 

53 North are happy to announce three new starters, David Westwood (pictured left), Chris Deakin (pictured center) and Adam Theaker (pictured right).

David has joined the team as engineering product manager, an exciting new role to support the continued growth of our connected systems and My Maintenance Planner. We asked David to tell us a little about himself:

“I’m very pleased to have joined 53 North and look forward to working with the team.

My previous position was as a customer facing Engineering Manager. I have worked in Engineering / manufacturing all my career, starting as an apprentice and have an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

I live in Leeds with my partner, daughter, and dog. We like to spend a lot of time with our family and friends.

I also enjoy a number of sports including football, rugby league, mountain biking and squash”

 

Chris will join the team as an asset manager supporting our service customers, using his experience and knowledge to ensure our customers get a memorable, measurable and meaningful service. We asked Chris to tell us a little about himself:

“The 53North team are just that, a team! It has been great integrating into such a professional yet friendly working environment. I am looking forward to new challenges, experiences and opportunities.

Having spent the last 10 years working within Condition Based Monitoring I have a wealth of technical experience across a wide range of technologies and products. Having a maturity within problem solving and solutions, supported with qualifications in Vibration, Thermography, Motion Amplification, Oil Analysis and more, I hope to become an asset to the company and its customers.

Both at work and at home I enjoy developing my knowledge and skills. Dabbling in a large range of hobbies: photography; graphic design; metal work; wood working; building my own computer & 3D printer; modifying and repairing cars; DIY as well as playing a multitude of instruments to name a few. I enjoy being able to turn my hand to just about anything!”

 

Adam is our new machine data analyst, support the global analytical data centre. His experience in working with different analytical methods will add to the knowledge we have within the team and help further support customer service. Adam had this to say about himself:

“I am really pleased to be joining the 53North team and am looking forward to this new challenge and contributing to the team. I bring 9 years Laboratory experience in the oil and grease condition monitoring industry including a wide range of analysis methods.

Out of work I live with my partner, and I practice judo which I am a black belt in.”
