2021 53 North Charity event

The beginning of June saw 53 North embark upon a ‘Take on a Charity Challenge’, in an effort to raise money for two local charities, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, and the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust.

Several ideas were batted around before we finally settled on an ‘AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS’ challenge.  In essence, this meant that between us, we were to cover 24901 miles in 80 days, which equated to 8.4125 miles per person, per day!

We ran, cycled and walked to achieve our accumulative target miles, and between us, we did it!

Special thanks must be given to Andy MacFarlane, for pushing us every step of the way and for the huge contribution that he made towards the mileage, and also to Ken Mason, again for the miles that he managed to cover on a daily basis.

So far, we have raised £3478.00 for the charities.  Well done to one and all!
